"Coral Power - If this Pokémon is not poisoned or noxious, while this Pokémon is on the field, your non-Corsola Water-type Pokémon with MP1 gain +1 MP."

Notes:[]

  • Corsola isn't the strongest Pokémon available, but it can very easily survive attacks and it can be very useful in a Water-type deck. When on the field, Corsola gives +1MP to other Pokémon like Kyogre, Tentacruel, unevolved Gyarados and Manaphy. While the list is limited for now, it at least gives a few advantages to a Water-type focused deck. Other than its ability, it has Rockwall and a huge protect, which both make Corsola more than likely to survive most attacks, and with Mirror Coat, it could also survive some 1 star purple runners like Glaceon, Leafeon and more.
  • Corsola is somewhat complemented by Manaphy, and Manaphy complemented by Corsola, but it limits the attack damage of your team, and the movement of your team to some degree, so be cautious when creating a team with both.
  • Corsola cannot boost Kyogre to 3MP when its ability is triggered.
  • It should be fairly easy to knock out Corsola if you're using a gold attacker and give it some time. A quicker way would be to use anything above 120 damage or status conditions.
  • You should probably focus on Protect when you level up this figure. Corsola is a defensive figure with the ability to buff your other Pokémon and should be kept alive as long as possible. The other option being Rockwall. This will give you a fighting chance against Mew and Greninja.
  • Watch out for status conditions. Not only will they decrease Corsola's chance to survive, but they will also negate the +1MP buff to your other Pokémon.
  • Long Throw and Pokemon Switch is recommended.
